A really bad hair day!!

bad hair day

Sometimes we need to be able to laugh at ourselves. Don’t you agree?  I think laughing makes you happy and everyone wants to be happy. My sister Katie had a good laugh at herself today. When she saw herself in the mirror, she started to laugh. “Talk about a bad hair day, Rugby. This is the worst hair day I have ever had!”  When we both stopped laughing, she said, “Well, tomorrow will be a better hair day!” I didn’t tell her that I thought it would have to be!

I call her “Lucky Lilly!”

I just heard about some wonderful people who are helping an adorable little dog have a great life. Her name is Lilly and she is a Chihuahua-terrier mix. She was born with a fifth leg and someone wanted to buy her and put her in a freak show next to a two headed cow. I wonder what kind of people would want to see or run such a show. They must not be very kind or caring about people and animals that are less fortunate than they are. I don’t like freak shows and I won’t go to one…EVER!

According to various news casts, Lilly was purchase by a nice lady named Allyson Seigel. She paid $4000.00 for Lilly to keep her away from John Strong, owner of the Freaks of Nature Show in New York.  Dr. Neil Shaw from the NYC Veterinary Specialists in Manhattan, offered to do the operation free. So Lucky Lilly, that’s what I call her, went through a 90 minute operation and had her fifth leg removed. Now, she will be able to run around now just like a normal four legged dog. How cool is that? Way cool I think! Don’t you agree?
