2010! It’s A Wonderful World!

You know what I want to say on this last day of 2009? It’s that one of my hopes for 2010 is that everyone…adults and children alike will put their work, homework and housework aside long enough to allow their imaginations, their fantasies and their dreams to play a role in their lives. I pray that in some part they might become more childlike so that cynicism is placed on the back burner and the wonder of this world might be appreciated.

Please tell me why imagination and fantasy is often considered a bad thing? I saw a show today where some of the most successful and famous people in this world watched an old fashioned ventriloquist…kind of like Sherry Lee and Lamb Chop… perform in front of children and adults alike and guess what?

The audience was blown away with the magic of imagination and what if? I believe that sometimes that wonder can be the best medicine in the world for people to be happy.

You all know Simon from American Idol and you all know about Oprah Winfrey…right? I know you do so please watch this amazing video of …A Wonderful World…originally by Louis Armstrong but this time by Terry Fator. What a message for all of us…if we can become more childlike so that we can enjoy what could be, what might be, what will be…What a wonderful world…would we have?

“I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin’ hands, sayin’ “How do you do?”
They’re really saying “I love you”

I hear babies cryin’, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than I’ll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world

Oh yeah!”  It’s A Wonderful World!

2010: A New Year of Possibility

Yippee! 2010 is almost here! I am so excited ‘cuz that means we have another whole year to make such a difference. Sometimes I just get excited thinking about how much good we can do if we put our minds to it.

What do you hope 2010 will bring to you? What difference are you going to make in 2010? If you could be granted only wish, what would it be?

I think my wish would be that each one of us might be granted the ability to be so positive in our thinking that the sky would be the limit.

That might sound a bit silly to you but I know that positivity attracts positivity. Guess what else is true? If you believe that you can, you can. If you believe that you will, you will. That’s the only way to think about the new year and all that you can and will accomplish.

I just love enjoying the dreams of possibility ‘cuz those dreams can and will become possibility if you just believe and then do what needs to be done!

What is your goal for 2010?

There is a Santa!

I feel very sad because someone just told Katie that there is no Santa Claus. I wonder why some people say such hurtful things. Everyone knows there is a Santa Claus because there is so much proof! Please, my friends…don’t say anything that will hurt a believer! Remember when you believed? Hopefully, you still do!… Continue Reading
