I just heard about the most wonderful story. It’s about a hippo and a tortoise. Wait ‘til you hear this and see the pictures. It will melt your heart…guaranteed.

It’s that differences are what makes life great.
A baby hippo named Owen survived the tsunami in Africa and was rescued. After his rescue, Owen adopted a giant male century old tortoise as his new dad. The old tortoise sure seems happy to have a new baby. Don’t you agree?

The little baby hippo and the old tortoise have bonded unbelievably even though they are way different in age and species. I can tell how much they care for each other and support each other. I bet the old tortoise has helped Owen’s self esteem ‘cuz his differences don’t matter.
How cool is that? Way cool I think and I bet you do too.
