I am very excited ‘cuz my mom just got a letter from some way cool kids in New Hampshire. They read my “Tail” in school. They just loved my story and me! Well, that doesn’t surprise me so much and I bet you aren’t too surprised either. Here is their letter. I wanted to share it with you.

Dear Ms Broome,
We just finished your book, The “Tail” of Rugby Jones A Rascal’s Journey from Disability to Ability. We are fourth grade students at Thorntons Ferry Elementary School. Next year we will go to James Mastricola Upper Elementary School. We really enjoyed your book! It was a really encouraging story. We learned that it is okay to be different and that we can learn to overcome any challenge. We liked seeing pictures of Rugby that went with the story.
We had a few questions for you.
- Did Rugby and Katie ever wrestle when Rugby had Zoomie?
- Did you write other books?
- Can Rugby play outside in the snow? Does he have special, “snow tires” for Zoomie?
- Does Rugby sleep in or out of Zoomie at night?
- Can we have a poster of Rugby or could you send us a Power Point picture so that we can have a picture for each of us and for our school?
- Do you ever visit schools with Rugby?
- Could you visit our school some day?
Sincerely,
(Students)

- I will show you my mom’s answer in my next post. Yippee! The word is spreading! Guess what? The teachers at that school are so way cool and really connect with their students. I can tell and I bet you can too!
