bee
I am learning about bees and their stings. I have learned that some bees sting because they are defending themselves. Some bees sting for no reason. They are very aggressive and I think those kinds of bees are bully bees.
Guess how I know all of this about bees? Well, it’s because my mom has gotten stung a lot and she is very allergic. She has to carry an “epi-pen” which is a shot of medicine. She has to use it immediately after she gets stung.
My mom got stung again yesterday and she used the ‘epi-pen’ but still had to go to the emergency room.
Her whole body broke out in hives and her tongue and lips swelled up. I was really worried but I know that doctors and hospitals are good because they help people and animals get better when they are sick.
Bumble Bees and Yellow Jackets can sting more than once and when they sting they send out a message to other bees in their hives to come attack. It’s kind of like how bullies get other bullies to gang up on the target. Anyone who is stung by a bee should not run or move quickly because that will make the bees sting more.
Guess what I think? I think that someone who is near bees, needs to learn how not to provoke them, just like bullied kids need to learn how not to provoke bullies.
My mom has to wear light colored clothes, long sleeves and long pants and no perfume. She needs to stay away from places where there are bees. Bullied kids should dress in a way that the bullies won’t tend to be attracted to them either. They also need to stay away from places where the bullies are.
