Watching Dr. Phil yesterday made us feel physically ill and we had to turn our eyes away from some of the things that were shown. There were movies that showed terrible cruelty to animals.
One of the guests was a man who had been in prison because he used dogs to fight as a sport. He said things that were frightening. He acted like there was nothing wrong with abusing defenseless animals by using them as pawns in such a terrible way. He was the worst kind of bully because he actually believed that being so cruel is totally okay.
Then, Dr. Phil had Rescue Ink come on the show. In case you don’t know about Rescue Ink, they are a group of tattooed motorcycle riders who are really tough looking. The amazing part is that you really can’t tell a book by its cover. These rough and tough guys have hearts of gold. They prove how kind they are each time they help animals that are being neglected or abused.
Rescue Ink had a little dog with them who was in a dog cart just like “Zoomie.” These men exemplify the fact that just because animals have special needs doesn’t mean that their lives should be ended.
Rescue Ink is like Christopher Reeve a.k.a. Superman was. They both care so much that they are on a mission to help the underdogs and individuals who have special needs. They are our heroes.
