How amazing is this? We just received an email from the mom of a 12 year old boy who was extremely proud of himself and for good reason. She included a note that he had written to her and left it on her pillow.
She had just talked to him about being a bystander and what kids experience when they are bullied.
Mom
We talked about bullying and how bad it is last week. Guess what? You were right when you said that there could be kids who are being bullied and nobody knows.
Today at recess I needed to go to the bathroom and went in and there were 2 boys and they were shoving a kid’s head into the urinal and they were laughing at him. One of them was going to pee on him.
When I walked in and they saw me, the one guy said to me hey bro look at this fag. He needs a lesson. I said no bro you need a lesson and I pushed him and grabbed the bullied kids arm and said come with me. We both went out and I told him not to worry that they wouldn’t pick on him again. He asked me why and I said because bullying is bad.
Mom I felt so good I mean I felt really good. Tomorrow I am going to tell the principal what happened.
Mom you were right I felt so good.
