Why They Bully

P. E. teachers, coaches, big brothers and sisters, parents and anyone and everyone please pay attention. The holidays are approaching and lives may be lost. If you care, do something, do anything to help the bullied kids.

Protect them, watch them and teach them. You need to show them what is really happening and why they are being bullied.

Care enough to educate them on a few facts and let them know that you care about them and are on their side.

Explain to them that bullies often target:

• kids with integrity

• smart kids or successful kids

• well liked kids

• kids with a defined set of values

• kids who have some visible weakness or vulnerability

• kids who show the bully knowingly or unknowingly that he or she is deficient in some area.

• kids who are in the wrong place at the wrong time

• kids who have qualities or successes that the bullies do not have
