This news is overdue but better later than never. Facebook is cracking down on cyber-bullies. This action is due to the growing number of incidents of “Trolling” on Facebook, where bullies have left outrageous comments on online memorial pages.
As if the pain that bullying causes the living isn’t enough, now more anonymous bullies are seeking out those who are grieving the loss of loved ones.
Facebook is uniting with the law and will be sending on line messages to warn the bullies that they can be prosecuted if they continue to use Facebook to pursue more victims.
Parents of cyber-bullied kids and teachers are being requested to tip off the authorities.
The attempt is to crackdown on network related crimes and hopefully head off bullying offenses in the future.
Parents, I have said it before and I will say it again, “There is absolutely no reason why kids under sixteen should be permitted to use Facebook!”
