The Westminster Dog Show in New York City was this past week. The various groups of dogs included the hound, toy, non-sporting, herding, sporting, working and terrier.
It was so exciting to view such an assortment of beautiful dogs, groomed to perfection. You could clearly see that these champions adored being in the lime light.
This is one time when strutting is okay. Those of you who are regulars here, know of what I am speaking!
What I love the most about a show like Westminster is the fact that differences are not only respected but valued. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if different types of people were respected and valued as much?
As you know, we are very partial to The Scottish Terrier and we are very proud to know “Miss” GCH CH Lomondview Clementina, who won the Best Of Breed in the Scottish Terrier Group this year at Westminster.
CH Lomondview Clementina A.K.A. Phoebe was bred by Carol Annan in Scotland. She is owned by the very proud John and Daphne Eggert and handled by Ernesto Lara. “Handled” is an understatement because Ernesto’s affection for Phoebe and her fondness for him is unmistakable both in the ring and outside of the ring.
CH Lomondview Clementina demonstrates the bold, confident and dignified characteristics that prove The Scottish Terrier to be indeed power in a small package!
Congratulations “Miss” Phoebe, John, Daphne, Carol and Ernesto!
