Why Boys Should Wear Pink

In the news a couple of days ago, was a story about the fact that a boy went to school wearing a pink shirt.

He was bullied beyond belief because the bullies thought that a boy wearing pink was “gay.”

The cool part of this story is that two older boys in the school stood by the bullied kid. Whether the kid was gay or not didn’t matter. What mattered was that he was bullied and these boys knew that was wrong and wanted to step up to the plate and do what was right! They purchased pink shirts and via the internet, urged others to help them fight back and make a difference the next day by wearing pink.

This is so amazing because of the profound effect that the kids who stood up to bullies had because they stuck together in their efforts to support the bullied kid.

Guess what? No one committed suicide. No one was murdered

Instead, students across Canada and the United States wore pink in order to take a stand against bullies.

Bullying will always happen but the way that it is handled by the bystanders is what will make the difference for everyone, especially the kids who are bullied.

Please parents, talk about bullying with your kids! Do you want your child to make a difference? Do you want your child to be a hero? Do you want to be a hero?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then act in a way that shows you are willing to wear pink!!

PS Personally, I think that a man or boy who wears pink is way handsome!
