What do you know about  ketamine?

If you know nothing, please read on! According to several statistical analyses, 74% of ketamine users in the United States in 2000 were aged 12-25.

Current statistics show that the use of ketamine by preteens and teens is on the rise. The number of college students who are using the drug is increasing exponentially.

What is ketamine?

Ketamine is a drug used for cats as an anesthetic but it can also be used by people. The effect that ketamine produces is similar to PCP.  Because it is abused as a hallucinogenic, many sexual offenders use it to render their victims insensible.

What does ketamine look like?

Ketamine comes in the form of an odorless colorless liquid or in the form of a white powder.

How is ketamine used?

Ketamine is usually added to drinks or a smoking substance like tobacco or marijuana. When it is in powder form, it can be sniffed. When it is in tablet form, it is often mixed with ecstasy. In addition, the liquid can be injected into the muscle.

What are the effects of ketamine?

Ketamine triggers poor perception of sound, site, feelings of disconnection and an inability to remain in control. These effects last for about 24 hours even though the hallucinogenic effects last about an hour to an hour and a half.

What are the health risks of using ketamine?

Because ketamine users can suffer from high blood pressure, depression and respiration issues, the use of ketamine can be fatal.
