We are trying to offer you…both adults and kids the resources and support to help you deal with bullying events. As you read in yesterday’s post, there are new studies being done that offer more reasons why bullies bully.
What you need to understand and really think about is that there are a gazillion reasons why kids bully other kids.
- Maybe they are being abused and feel the need to do the same to other kids.
- Maybe the bullies need to build themselves up by tearing others down.
- Maybe the bullies go on attack mode because they are afraid of dealing with kids who have differences.
- Maybe they bully in order to achieve more popularity by making fun of the popularity of their rivals.
Here is the thing! Bullies bully for different reasons and what is important is to protect the kids who are the victims. That means to step up to the plate anyway you can when you find about the bullying. No excuses for any bystanders who don’t support the targets of bullying!
It’s up to each and every one of you to make a difference and potentially save a life!
