As we think about and honor the men and women who died while serving in the American military, we must be reminded of the loss that their loved ones feel.
I can’t help but think about the parents who lost children due to bullying. Unlike the families of the soldiers, they can’t feel pride in the reason for their deaths.
Most American families observe Memorial Day with family gatherings and picnics and parades.
This is a perfect occasion for adults to watch the interaction of the children at the gatherings. Bullying events can often go on right in front of adults who are not paying enough attention to what happening.
Please parents and kids, open your eyes and ears this Memorial Day!
